Hue

Hue was the imperial capital of Vietnam from 1800 to 1945. It has an enclosed "city" for the emperor, which was largely destroyed during the "American War", as it is known there.

I also cruised down the Perfume River to visit the ornate tombs of the former emperors. These sites are recognized as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

The river tour was all day long, and included lunch. It cost one dollar, 50 cents US.
